Sir, Ideally the concept of politics is an institution serving the causes of over-all welfare of the people. But at present the politicians all over the world are responsible for almost all the severe crimes like terrorism, conflicts and war causing loss of innumerable lives and properties and immense sufferings of the common/innocent people on the globe. Politicians (may be with some exceptions) are serving their self-interests rather than looking after the peoples welfare. The politicians should not forget that politics is for the well-being of the people. As such, the FMDA, (Foundation for Moral Development Approach) claims that correction of character of the politicians will have a tremendous influence on the process of rectification of immoral behaviour of people of all levels. It further, diagnosed that immorality is the number one enemy/problem of the mankind today as it is directly responsible for all the crimes generating most of the human crises like terrorism, killings, corruption, injustice, human rights violation, oppression and represession on women and children, AIDS/HIV, environment pollution, poverty, drug abuses, etc. Now there is no denying that moral degradation has become globalised: so it has to be addressed urgently and globally. Hence to fight these crimes a global moral development programme has become quite imperative. And thus keeping this view in mind (FMDA) has launched a global moral development mission and has already floated a detail proposal to the United Nations too in this regard. Under the present global situation both the politicians and the citizens of the world should realise that harmonious co-existence of all is a must based on a common platform of moral practice as morality is the common factor of all the faiths. Otherwise none will survive peacefully and meaningfully. So, the FMDA appeals to all the politicians, international bodies and common people of all faiths to launch a vigorous political and social movement for global moral development to save the mankind from ruination.
