'Alliance' needed to tackle situation: Sushil Kapilbastu, Jan. 26 (RSS): General secretary of the Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala has said the existing crisis-ridden situation in the country will end once the broader democratic alliance brought forward by NC president Girija Prasad Koirala comes into being. Koirala, while inaugurating the first annual district conference of NC Kapilbastu, said the government should lend a helping hand to the people who are united against Maoist terrorism at a time when police, army personnel and the people have been killed by the Maoist terrorists. NC organisation department chief Krishna Sitaula said terrorism should be ended by continuing the campaign initiated against it. At the function presided over by NC Kapilbastu president Kamalesh Kumar Sharma, various other speakers including NC western development region coordinator, MP Ram Krishna Tamrakar, MP Shiva Prasad Humagain, ex-minister of state Deep Kumar Upadhyaya, ex-MP Bishnu Raj Acharya and DDC chairman Ramesh Sharma also expressed their views.
