Solution To Krishna Bhir Landslides Needed

The Krishna Bhir on the way to Mugling from Kathmandu is always subject to landslides every now and then. Since the mudslides started on it a few years back it has always troubled the travellers passing through that particular stretch of the road. It was just a few days back that traffic was hampered for almost nine hours. It caused inconvenience to all the passengers and others who were passing through that road.

Just two days back, as I was heading to Kathmandu from Pokhara, the road was again covered with debris from the Krishna Bhir landslide. This stopped vehicular movement for a few hours. The trouble I had to undergo was great as I was in a hurry to reach the capital for an important interview. Now it is the rainy season so more such disruption of the movement of vehicles can be expected.

It requires huge amount of money to clear the debris. It would be good if the concerned authorities chalk out long term strategies to tackle the menace that Krishna Bhir unleashes. This would be better instead of the patch works that is done as and when required.
