Traffic Blues

It is about an unpleasant experience that we underwent at Singhadurbar Traffic Office the other day. We had gone there to take our motorcycle back which the traffic police had taken from Maitidevi pavement saying that the vehicle was wrongly parked. There were number of vehicles parked the way we had. But it was only ours which was lifted by them. The police at the traffic office did not even bother to listen to our plea and handed over a slip billed at Rs. 200. As to how could the fine reach as much as Rs. 200 for such a minor mistake the police said blatantly, "That’s it. We can consider only if you have sources. If you come with Prime Minister’s source, we can reduce the fine to as few as Rs. 25."

This very example shows how corrupt our system is. With such practices still existing we are lagging behind and are corrupting the generation.
