By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, May 31: Three Chinese Lifan Motorcyclists Seng Dong, Sue Xen and Luo Hong Tao have set a new world record by taking Lifan motorcycle to a height of 6,187 metre Parchamo Peak on Friday afternoon said Pawan Tuladhar, the manager of the Chinese Lifan Motorcycle Himalayan Expedition 2002. Mr. Tuladhar said if the weather is favourable the motorcyclists will return back to Kathmandu by Saturday morning. Meanwhile, one of the senior members of Lifan stationed at Kathmandu verified the news with joy and exclaimed finally Lifan made a history. We are now planning a success ceremony at Kathmandu. Chinese Lifan Motorcycle Himalayan Expedition 2002 was started on 18th May from Kathmandu. The bikers traveled through Beding. Na, Tsho-Rolpa Tashiphuk and finally reached Parcharmo peak. Lifan one of the leading Chinese motorcycles manufacturing company has been organising a compaign in Nepal for its brand promotion for the last fourteen days. The main objective of this campaign was to set a new world record by taking Lifan motorcycle to a height of 6,187-metre Parchamo Peak. They have finally conquered the difficult task. |
