Labour Quota Needed

We were glad to read a news story about our labour minister seeking more labour quota for the Nepalese wishing to go abroad for earning their livelihood during the ILO meet in Geneva. Minister Gurung’s seeking quota for the unemployed youths must be taken in a good light keeping in mind the increasing educated and uneducated unemployed youths. The recent report about employment scenario in Nepal says that there are 1500,000 skilled people who have nothing to do in the country. If more labour quotas are brought the Nepalese youths can earn not only their livelihood but also help boost country’s ailing economy. In this regard we would like to extend our thanks for our labour minister Palten Gurung for doing so.
