Warning against violating consumer Protection Act

Nepalgunj (RSS): The Food Technology Laboratory has issued warning against the industries in Banke district found to be producing goods against the norms of the consumers protection act.

In a surprise check, a team from laboratory had found the industries to be producing goods with the name, address of the producers, the registration number and price, said Ram Kurumwang, officer at the laboratory.

These industries have been order to improve within 15 days their production in pursuance to the act.

Industrialists found acting against the consumers protection act are liable to two years imprisonment or a fine of Rs. 30,000 or both.
