Road Accidents

The frequent incidences of bus accidents that have increased in the recent times have become a matter of anxiety. A large number of passengers have lost their lives after the buses they were travelling in skidded off the road on the way to and from the capital. The rising toll of death comes as another blow to the authority that is struggling to maintain peace and order, especially at this time when the terrorist are killing innocent people in different parts of the Kingdom.

It seems that the rising number of road accidents are not due to road condition as such, because they are more or less fine now, but due to the carelessness of the drivers themselves. Driving carefully alone cannot prevent such occurrences, taking precaution is equally important to avoid such unwanted incidents. It is therefore essential to have a regular maintenance of the vehicles, brakes and steering wheel for instance, before they depart for the long journey along the hilly roads.

Kathmandu, March 6: An agreement has been signed today between Dairy Development Corporation and Swiss Association For Technical Assistance for the implementation of the Pauwa Cheese Factory Project based on buffalo milk at Pauwa in Sindhuli district.
