Rational use of resources stressed

Lalitpur, May 3 (RSS): Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Mahesh Acharya says that the means and resources available in the country should be utilised rationally in order to protect the precarious national economy from further deteriorating.

Speaking at a function organised by Nepal Coffee Entrepreneurs’ Association here today, Minister Acharya said that commercialisation of agricultural sector is necessary to strengthen national economy.

The Ministry for Agriculture and Cooperatives remains steadfast in its efforts in activating farmers to this end after identifying export potentials of this sector.

Noting that the cooperative movement should be taken as a medium to commercialise the agriculture sector, he said the agro-based industries of Nepal should utilise indigenous raw materials to a maximum extent.
