New law in offing to check Guthi irregularities Mahottari, May 13 (RSS): Minister of State for Information and Communications Ramjanam Chaudhari has said that as the Guthi is the common asset of everybody, cooperation from one and all is necessary for its protection and development. Speaking at a programme organised here after an inspection of the Rajguthi at Matihani, he saiad that the government was formulating a new law for the removal of Guthi-related problems such as delay and corruption. He also disclosed that as the Guthi had become a begging bowl, a high level commission would be constituted for the investigation of Guthi land and other assets. Chairman of the Greater Janakpur Area Development Board Narendra Mishra, Matihani VDC chairman Joy Kumar Chaudhari and a host of other speakers also expressed their views at the programme chaired by Mahantha Jagannath Das Baishnav of Matihani Math. Also today, Minister of State Chaudhari visited the Sanskrit Vidyapeeth and acquired first hand information on the situation there. Other Story |
