83 drivers face action By A Staff Reporter KATHMANDU, Nov. 16: Eighty-three vehicle drivers were taken action in the Kathmandu Valley by the Nepal Police for breaching the traffic rules on Wednesday, states the Traffic Police Office today. According to the traffic office, Rs. 13,100 was collected by fining the breachers. "Four persons were injured in traffic accidents," the traffic police office said. Saraswati Bhandari, a resident of ward no. 9 of Pokhara Sub-metropolitan City, died after she was hit at Khani Khola, six kilometres from Mugling, by a bus heading to Biratnagar from Kathmandu. Bhandari was a passenger of another bus going to Biratnagar from Pokhara, and was hit when she had got down from the bus when it had stopped at Khani Khola. Sharmila Budhathoki, 25, of Lalitpur, who had been living in a rented house at Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, Bhaktapur, committed suicide by hanging herself in her room on Thursday. Another woman, Laxmi Madi Shrestha, 52, of Balkot, Bhaktapur was found dead in her room. She was found hanging from the ceiling of her room on Tuesday. Other Stories |
