Smooth supply during Dashain stressed RSS KATHMANDU, Oct. 7: The joint meeting of the concerned bodies under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Corporations, Industry and Commerce organisations and associations here today decided to make available during Dashain and Tihar daily consumable items and other essentials goods like sugar, salt, cereals, clothing and petroleum products in an efficient manner, standard in quality and reasonable prices. The meeting held at the initiative of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce also decided to ease the availability of medicines, construction and education materials. A coordination unit has also been constituted for the purpose which will facilitate the supply system of the country and also respond to reactions and recommendations from the consumers. Chamber president Rajesh Kaji Shrestha chaired the meeting where the participants agreed to assist from their respective sectors in order to accelerate economic activities by adding boost to the enthusiasm in the industrialists, businessmen and traders as well as the general public following the Royal promulgation. Taking part in the meeting were among others representatives of Nepal Petroleum Dealers Association, Nepal Freight Forwarders Association, National Trading Ltd., Salt Trading Corporation Ltd., Nepal Retailers Association, Suraj Arcade Traders Association, Nepal Kerosene Oil Dealers Association, LPG Gas Industries Association and Central Consumers Cooperatives Association.
