On the occasion, Ramchandra Jha, a delegate at the convention, quoted General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal as saying that the report would be rewritten by incorporating the suggestions from the participants.

General Secretary Nepal, on the occasion, replied to the delegates that the door has been kept open for all options for finding a political way out in the present circumstances.

He stressed on the need of honesty and transparency in order to make the cease-fire meaningful.
On the third day of the closed-door session tomorrow, the outgoing chief of the party's organisation department Amrit Kumar Bohara, in his capacity as the member of the dissolved central committee of the party, is scheduled to present a statute in support of the general secretarial system in the party.
Likewise, member of the now dissolved standing committee of the party K.P. Sharma Oli will present a proposal for amending the party constitution supporting the presidential system, according to convenor of the publicity sub-committee Raghu Panta.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held here under the chairmanship of Amrit Kumar Bohara, president of the CPN-UML presidium today, the second day of the CPN-UML's ongoing seventh general convention close-door session.

Ten groups have been formed among the delegates and representatives to initiate group discussions on the political and organisational report presented at the closed-door session by General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, joint convenor of the general convention publicity sub-committee Raghuji Pant said.

The ten teams comprise 92 to 103 members.

Binda Pandey, Gokarna Bista, Menaka Kafle, Radha Gyanwali, Arun Nepal, Beduram Bhusal, Pashupati Chaulagain, Ramnath Dhakal, Lal Babu Pandit and Rakam Chemjong were chosen as the team leaders.

Following the discussions in groups, the team leaders presented reports on behalf of their respective groups.

The groups have suggested that the party should be moved ahead by making it more revolutionary and struggle-oriented and as a united whole as there were no ideological differences within the party.
Convenor of the publicity sub-committee Raghuji Pant, speaking at a press meet held on the occasion, stated that several of the participants had suggested during the discussions that doors should be kept open for options like Constituent Assembly, making amendments to the constitution and holding a referendum.

Stating that voting could be held on the issue of whether the party should or should not opt for a Constituent Assembly if the representatives wanted one, he said it appeared that most members are against any Constituent Assembly.

According to joint-convenor Pant, General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal is scheduled to forward a proposal on amending the party's constitution at the close-door session tomorrow while party leader K.P. Sharma Oli is to present his differing views. He said party leader Bam Dev Gautam has lent his weight behind Oli.
