After celebrating Valentine's Day the city is now reportedly celebrating Valentine's week. Valentine's Day or Week is not our culture. It is the product of global culture, which is gradually replacing our age-old traditions. We have our own cultural identities. Concept of global culture and global village is good, but small an individual cultural identities need preservation. This is high time to protect our culture and check the uncontrolled flow of western culture to prevent our national identities from occidental influence. Imitation of the vulgar aspects of other cultures must be discouraged.
