KATHMANDU, Jan. 2: His Majesty the King has extended sincere
congratulations to Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of
Brazil, on his assumption of the high office of President of Brazil. In a message, His
Majesty has wished the President success in his new responsibilities, and expressed
confidence that the close and friendly relations existing between the two countries will
be further strengthened during his tenure of office.His Majesty also extended best wishes
for the President's personal health and happiness as well as for the peace, progress and
prosperity of the people of Brazil.
