Tourism promotion discussed

KATHMANDU, Jan. 21: An interaction programme on Nepal's trade and investment policies and tourism promotion was organised at the Royal Nepalese Embassy in Beijing Monday.

Welcoming the entrepreneurs, Nepalese Ambassador to China Rajeshwor Acharya briefed the participants about Nepal-China historical and traditional friendship, liberal trade and investment policies of His Majesty's Government of Nepal and potential tourists market of Nepal.

Acharya told the Chinese friends to spread their arms of cooperation in the sectors of trade, investment and tourism for mutual benefit, according to a press release issued by the Royal Nepalese Embassy, Beijing.Nepal being the birthplace of Lord Buddha, he encouraged the Chinese people to visit Nepal and have life time experience of peace, compassion and harmony.

Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Trade envoy Bian Hongdeng said such programme helped the Chinese people to acquire more information about Nepal's tourism, trade and investment policies and potentials.

About 30 business leaders and entrepreneurs from different cities and provinces of China and embassy officials were present during the programme.

The programme was followed by a video presentation on tourism promotion activities of Nepal.
