Mandal heads committee for NSP convention RSS KATHMANDU, March 20: A general convention main preparatory committee has been formed under the chairmanship of acting national chairman of Nepal Savbhavana Party Badri Prasad Mandal for the party's fourth general convention which starts March 25. A 25l member preparatory committee has also been formed under
the convenorship of party joint general secretary Mrigendra Kumar Singh in Saptari where
the general convention is to be held. Party leaders and government representatives from India, China, North Korea and Bangladesh and the 2l embassies in Kathmandu have been invited to the general convention. Talking to RSS, spokesman Mandal said elections will be held according to the party constitution for the chairman and l5 members of the national executive committee. The meeting of the party's parliamentary committee held at the party central office today appointed committee chairman Sohan Lal Tated as election officer. Disclosing that work on the party amendment and preparation of the main document were under way, spokesman Mandal said work is also under way in Saptari on a war footing to make the general convention a success. Meanwhile, Nepal Sadbhavana Party general convention representative and former minister Dr Dambar Narayan Yadav has demanded that there should be fair and impartial election of representatives at the party's fourth general convention to be held in Rajbiraj, Saptari from March 25. In a communique, Dr Yadav said that the party chairman's powers to nominate general convention representaives should be ended and elections held on the basis of an amended constitution.
