Roof Makers in Nepal

Bearing the marketing slogan "Roof Makers to the World", the Putalisadak-based Kanchanjangha International Pvt. Ltd. the authorized dealer of Malaysian Roofing Industries Sdn. Bhd., has recently made the roofing system ‘Metro Bond’ available in Nepal.

The Metro Bond comprises modern technology to combine the proven weathering however with high tensile strength of steel, and can be cut, bent and shaped to any roof design, the company informs.

The product is said to be light, saving the need for costly structural reinforcement with high resistance to corrosion, torrential rain, strong wind, fungus, and breakage. The product comes with comprehensive warranty for its entire life span, the company also informs.

Simultaneously, Kanchanjangha International, which is also the authorised dealer of Carboron Sdn Bhd, Malaysia has also introduced carboron polycarbonate twin-wall-sheets ‘Arcolite’ with ‘sunstop-coating’.

According to the company, arcolite can be applied to glazing for industrial buildings, shed-roof glazing for factories, skylights, barrel vault, partitions and signages.

Furthermore, arcolite twin-wall-sheets highlights thermal insulation which is approx and results in substantial energy savings both in heated or air-conditioned premises, the company makes known.


New U-Key Noodles in the Market

Kanchanjangha Processed Foods Nepal (P) Ltd has just lately brought out a new instant noodles, U-Key, into the Nepali market.

According to the company, U-key is packed in metalic wrapper-used for the first time in Nepal in noodle packaging-which ensures that the noodle retains its nutritive value. It also claims that the 75 gm noodle, priced at Rs 10, has undergone highly sophisticated manufacturing process following, in the company’s words, ‘good manufacturing practices’. U-key is also claimed to comply with (QMS) IS0 9000 and EMS ISO 14000 standards.

Shortly, the company also plans to bring out more brands of noodles and is also said to be widening its marketing network across the country.


Beijing Roast Duck Restaurant at BICC

Beijing Roast Duck Restaurant (BRDR) is a chain restaurant and in Kathmandu it is a Nepali /Chinese joint venture. The Nepali counterpart is Mr. Chandi Raj Dhakal and Dr. Gopal Prasad Shrestha. Beijing’s First Roast Duck Restaurant was founded in 1855, named "Bian Yi Fang" Roast Duck Restaurant which is famous for its skill at roasting the Beijing Duck in a special way called "stew-roasted".

The restaurant is managed by well experienced chefs from the "Bian Yi Fang" Beijing Roasted Duck restaurant, that has 146 years’ history. The special Beijing duck is also flown in all the way from Beijing. A visit to the restaurant enables you to enjoy their famous Beijing roasted duck and other traditional Chinese cuisine in a beautiful environment.

BRDR has two dining halls with roof top & conference facility seating upto 250 persons. All the spices are from China. They also have a well stocked bar. Parking is no problems for they have their own compound in the Birendra International Convention Centre.


New Willett Product

Continental Marketing (P) Ltd, the authorized dealer of Willet Coding and Labelling Pvt Ltd, Singapore, has lately begun marketing the small character Ink Jet Coder (430).

The product has come up with auto print head cleaning during start up and shut down, auto clean shut down at power loss and clean ink top up refill. Among others, simple push button operation, 25 message memory, automatic date and time print functions are the major standard specifications of the product.

The line speed of Ink Jet Coder is 4m/second and has print height of 1 to 10mm, elaborates the company. Shaft encoder and Print trigger are said to be data input modes of new 430 which, posses the ink range of black, green, red, blue MEK (methol ethyl keytone), and Black EA (ethyl Acetone).


Nissan’s New Vehicle

Dugar Brothers and Sons, the authorized dealer of Japanese automobile giant Nissan, has lately begun marketing the X-Trial (T30) in the Nepali Market.

The latest model of the Nissan brand stresses on power window and central door lock, power door mirror body color and steering wheel with audio control switch as prime specifications, among others.

Full auto air conditioned X-Trial, in addition, has come up with keyless entry system, roof rail and front dual air bags, inform company sources.

The newly launched version, which is available in seven different colors, further accentuates automatic gear system in terms of its exclusiveness in Nepal.


Khetan Introduces Lekali Noodles

Himalayan Hygienic Snax and Noodles Pvt. Ltd., a unit of the Khetan Group, has further inundated the overwhelming instant noodle market by launching yet another chicken flavored instant noodle, Lekali.

The noodle is said to be high quality product manufactured under technical collaboration with Thailand’s prominent noodle manufacturer, Thai President Foods Plc.

Lekali chicken flavored instant noodles is the company’s foray into white noodle segment and is based on the company’s strategy of reaching the different noodle market segments through product diversification, inform company sources.

The 80 gm noodle is priced at Rs 9. Mayos, Hurray and Ru-Chee are other brands of the company.


Daewoo's New Series

Him Electronics (P) Ltd, a subsdiary of Golchha Organization, has recenlty started marketing a series of new TV models from Daewoo brand – 14D4, 20D4, 21D4, 21D7 and 20D7, among others.

Hundred channel memory with multi system, frequency synthesized tuning, and full function remote control system are said to be some of the accentuations of these newly arrived Daewoo versions.
