Governor, Nepal Rastra Bank, announcing at a press conference cut in refinancing rates and credit reserve ratio (CRR).

"Increased liability of commercial banks, coming from the cash reserve ratio (CRR) would favour investors even as the decreased refinancing rates would assist to redress the industrial sector that has sickened in recent times."

Managing Director, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd., reacting to reduction of refinancing rate and CRR announced by Nepal Rastra Bank.

"The tourism sector here will definitely be affected with the suspension of PIA flights."

General Secretary, Board of Airlines Representatives of Nepal, reacting to the decision of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to suspend all flights to Kathmandu indefinitely. The move was prompted thanks to ban on PIA flights using Indian airspace.

"As of yet, there is no outstanding arrears and Nepal’s loan payment is also fully satisfactory. ADB will try to continue support consistent with the Bank’s (ADB) policy."
