The CEO of Khusbu Consultant and MD of Japan Nepal Computer Collaborators, Khusbu Sarkar Shrestha, 37, describes himself as a software developer, multimedia presentation expert and IT entrepreneur. Academically a civil engineer, Shrestha was awarded Colombo Plan Scholarship to pursue higher studies in India as one of the toppers from TU in the Science faculty. He, however, decided to take up IT as a profession in 1989, when he was in Japan. Since then, Shrestha has worked in the IT field in various countries like Germany, Holland, France, Belgium, Hong Kong, Australia, etc, before settling down with his own company in Nepal. Shrestha also boasts of business tie-ups with prominent IT based companies of Japan and Finland and his clients include global giants like Toshiba of Japan and UPM of Finland. In Nepal, he has developed CD-Roms for such organisations as Soaltee Crown Plaza, UNDP, Nepal Tourism Board, ADB, Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd. and Nepal Olympic Committee among others. Shrestha is also the recipient of quite a few awards. His CD-Rom, entitled ‘Mt. Everest and More’ and developed for Nepal Tourism Board, was hailed the best tourism CD-Rom in the world and was also the winner of PATA Gold Award, 2000. In 1990, he won ‘Special Prize’ in Housing Design Competition in Tokyo, Japan, and was also recognised by the ‘Rastriya Yuva Gaurav Puraskar’ in 2000 in the field of Science and Technology. Institute of Technology, and Apart from IT, Pradhan’s experience also runs into areas like bio-medical equipments, laboratory equipments, electronic and electrical equipments.
Wide Techno Expertise A bachelor of technology in Electronics and Telecommunication from Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra, Haryana, the 33 year old Pradeep Kumar Mondal is the Technical Director of CSDE Trading House/CNC Pvt. Ltd.
In 1990 Mondal began his professional career as Computer Support Engineer with the New Delhi, India based Usha Rectifier Corporation Ltd. His job here was to look after sales service of computers and peripherals. Following a one year stint with the company, he joined IT&T Pvt. Ltd., Calculta, India as Senior Computer Support Engineer where his primary responsibility involved ensuring customer satisfaction. The regions covered by Mondal were West Bengal, Orissa and Bihar. After another twelve months stint, Mondal took over his present portfolio. As Technical Director, his job requirements include looking after overall management and hardware section of the company. Mondal has also been involved in a number of projects, seminars and training programs. |
