More Political less Economical

There is no doubt that Prakash Dahal’s write-ups on economy and policy are quite appreciative.

One can find unique blend of polities and economy which made his article aggressive and thought provoking.

Simple presentation and command to subject matter are their additional points.

Nevertheless, his latest article entitled "Deuba’s Delhi junket" was more politic oriented than economy.

Even though the article tried to explore key aspects of Nepal-Indo relation on the political background, it simultaneously failed to blend itself with economy issues. Of course, it is undeniable that economy policy of any country is conceptualized by its political structure. But, in my perspective, Mr. Dahal basically focused himself on politics. The article would have been ore interesting if he had circumvented his article by exploring key economic tangle triggered by cross-border Maoist activities.

Useful article on economic growth

The article on economic growth by Business Age reporter was like a mirror on the current economic situation of the country. If the GDP growth continues to decline, the country will see further misery, which will be difficult to revive.

Sparked by political unrest, the country is already resource crunch and the economy may go an Argentine way. Moreover, Rajendra Khetan’s interview also indicated the some scenario which is further gripped by corruption. . Overall, April issue of Business age was helpful in providing the actual but adverse picture on the country’s economic condition.

The "Corporate" page was sleek and featured some of the gorgeous snaps of the hotel, whereas "World Development Indicators" had something else to tell. The irony of both the pages lies on the fact that, the country with only 220 dollar per capita income surely needs such places to give the foreign visitors a nice stay out here, so that it helps the country earn few extra bucks in a changed global competition.

Good but Stale

The cover feature of April issue was informative and so was the "Recent Launches". But, for me the most interesting one is the "Corporate Movement". It was refreshing to see few jokes included but the one in the last page was too long and more than the joke the side cartoon was funny. The "Personalities" section was impressive and the "Cross Word" would be more fun to do if you make it more business oriented. The "Business Age Business Directory" is a nice effort and I must thank your team for that.

The April issue of Business Age was good but it would have been better if it was on time. After all, Who would be interested in reading stale matter? So hope to see the May issue on time.
