TITTLE TATTLE

Tittle Tattle

Come Nepali New Year, Crown Prince Dipendra is on a rigorous 3-week para-jumping course. Here’s wishing the country’s most eligible bachelor a smooth and happy landing!

***

The happy landing in the para-jumping course is as welcome as any news on the matrimonial front as well. No one can keep the title of  being the most eligible bachelor for ever, not even the Crown Prince, can he?

***

Truly, history repeats itself. At least in the case of country’s national flag carrier it has once again routinely devoured yet another Chairman/MD. Who is to be blamed? Tattler puts the blame squarely on the govt. Agree?

***

The common myth about missing lunch to make up for a hearty dinner does not hold ground. Polishing off huge amount of food followed by a night of restful sleep allows the body to very efficiently store the dinner calories to FAT. Going out for dinners, lately? Think again!

***

Write bare facts as they are, then it is called ‘harsh’! What are writers supposed to do? Coat facts with butter and sugar like all of us do most of the time? Sorry, truth is sure a bitter pill - take it or leave it but it cannot be ignored.

***

World Bank and IMF suffered a serious blow to their image as the “do gooders” of the developing world when Washington DC was paralysed by strikers when a joint meeting of the two financial institutions was held a few days back. Nepalese too have a grouse against these two, but will anyone dare organise such a protest (Are you hearing UML?)?
