TITTLE TATTLE |
Cliche. Men are the sole cause of womens plights. Recently, a social worker even demanded all men be Bobbitised if rape, trafficking of women and even domestic violence are to be abolished. Eureka! She has found the Ramban (the ultimate solution) to womens sufferings, No? She was condemning every single drop of testosterone in the world as if she does not know women too have hormones in their bodies. *** The roads of Kathmandu are not a thing of pride to the many Kathmanduites. During the Monsoon season, pedestrians really suffer because of the hidden pot holes. Each time one gets splashed while going to the office or some important place, all you can do is curse those who made such roads that get washed away with a single downpour. Maybe time will tell if the Gods hear the voice of Kathmandus people. *** Corruption at all places was tolerable to some extent, but when there is talk that money is made even in the educational sector, as in the SLC results, it makes you lose faith in human nature. What sort of a person would be so greedy enough to try and make money, at the cost of a young students future? Tattler urges the authorities to investigate allegations of "result fixing" in the SLC exam. *** But at the same time, the persons who offer bribes to influence educational results are also not worthy human beings. When reports of some schools being involved in such activities surfaced, one felt concerned of the quality of education being imparted by such people. *** Poor B.L. Sharma may have to pay dearly after our MPs got stomach ache eating food at his canteen at the Parliament. The parliamentary secretariat recently called for tenders to run the canteen. Prompt action, no? Our MPs should now visit restaurants outside to find out what the people are eating. |
