What is this with the Nepali Congress? The leaders don’t seem to get along whenever the party forms a government. Is it because the leaders don’t have any vision or because they are plain too greedy? Whatever, it is the people who are suffering.

A civil servant recalled how the communists seemed much more prepared when they came to power. Specially in political appointments, they had things ready to the minutest detail. However what they lacked, was qualified people. Sometimes even a peon level person was elevated to the status of a board member, the man moaned. Key garney?

So the Nepalese people seem to be between the Devil and the deep sea, as far as the two largest political parties of the country are concerned. Is this why the country is mired so deep in trouble after ten years of democracy?

 Westward Ho! Seems to be the call of the day. With all young and strong heading towards the West, one wonders about the state of our country ten years from now. Will it get worse than now? Scary, isn’t it?

Responsibility is responsibility, no matter what. If you cannot do something, at least let your colleagues know! But that doesn’t seem to be the rule in many places.

Well the sleek new micro-buses have indeed come as a boon for the tired commuters of Kathmandu. However, one person’s boon almost always becomes another’s bane. And this time, it is the clean Safa tempos which seem to be at the receiving end. Tattler was sad to see commuters ignoring the three wheelers as they scrambled to get on the new buses.

It was surprising to not see the Minister for Water Resources in the official entourage of PM Koirala during his recent India visit. But only with  the ouster of the Minister on Tuesday, did we understand that political vendetta comes before any policy-wolicy, right?
