TITTLE TATTLE |
What is this
with the Nepali Congress? The leaders dont seem to get along whenever the party
forms a government. Is it because the leaders dont have any vision or because they
are plain too greedy? Whatever, it is the people who are suffering. *** A civil
servant recalled how the communists seemed much more prepared when they came to power.
Specially in political appointments, they had things ready to the minutest detail. However
what they lacked, was qualified people. Sometimes even a peon level person was elevated to
the status of a board member, the man moaned. Key garney? *** So the
Nepalese people seem to be between the Devil and the deep sea, as far as the two largest
political parties of the country are concerned. Is this why the country is mired so deep
in trouble after ten years of democracy? *** Westward
Ho! Seems to be the call of the day. With all young and strong heading towards the West,
one wonders about the state of our country ten years from now. Will it get worse than now?
Scary, isnt it? *** Responsibility
is responsibility, no matter what. If you cannot do something, at least let your
colleagues know! But that doesnt seem to be the rule in many places. *** Well the sleek
new micro-buses have indeed come as a boon for the tired commuters of Kathmandu. However,
one persons boon almost always becomes anothers bane. And this time, it is the
clean Safa tempos which seem to be at the receiving end. Tattler was sad to see commuters
ignoring the three wheelers as they scrambled to get on the new buses. *** It was
surprising to not see the Minister for Water Resources in the official entourage of PM
Koirala during his recent India visit. But only with the ouster of the Minister on
Tuesday, did we understand that political vendetta comes before any policy-wolicy, right? |
