TITTLE TATTLE |
Thank God we are in the new millennium and no hitches took place, both in the
celebrations and also in our computers. But wait, the great Bill Gates is saying Y2K could
still be there till the end of February! While we here in Nepal may be able to laugh off
this threat, others elsewhere will still have to be on tenterhooks. After all, the father
of the computer world himself has said so, isnt it? *** From viewing the last sunset of the past Century from picturesque Nagarkot to popping a champagne near mammoth Mt. Everest, Nepalese too thought of unique ways to welcome the new millennium. But apart from the well heeled few in Kathmandu, most other fellow countrymen must have been snuggling inside their warm beds before the clock chimed eight. For comfort, they can always say we are 56 years into such a new millennium, right? |
