TITTLE TATTLE |
RPP (Chand)
and the RPP have merged. But in the hurry, Chand seems to have forgotten to take his name
along with him. Rajeshwore Devkota, RPP (Chand)s president, has said he and some
friends would keep RPP (Chand) alive. Bad decision. What is there in the party whose very
namesake has defected? Tattler suggests Devkota to form a new party - RPP (Devkota). *** Tattler has
begun to feel the absence of Finance Minister Mahesh Acharya. Its been almost one
month since our chief executive of Finance has gone to India for his wifes
treatment. Tattler has all praise for Acharyas love for his wife. But it is also
baffled whether he has nobody else to take care of his other half so that he can take care
of the states affairs. *** Home Minister
Purna Bahadur Khadka and other Bhattarai supporters still seem smug about the
countrys security concerns. And this, even when soon after the hijack incident,
Maoists reels have killed more than a dozen police personnel in dring attacks. Tattler
suggest Kahdka and the likes to make a proper tour of the insurgency hit districts to
learn the truth. If not, they should keep their mouths shut. *** Also, why is
the government silent, even when all sorts of speculations are being made in the media
regarding important national aspects? Speak up, not only to make boasts, but when queries
of national interest are also being raised. Right? *** High ranking police officials are seemingly falling into the trap created by vested interests who are using some sections of the media to create a rift among the top ranks of the security personnel. Last Saturday, a vernacular weekly printed a news saying how an AIG was planning to oust the present high profile IGP Achyut Kharel. Even PM Bhattarais private aide Amita Kapalis name was dragged into the affair. Pray, what could be the trust between the PMs Office, IGP and his senior collegues, if such news really is true? |
