TITTLE TATTLE

Tittle Tattle

This block the road syndrome is really shocking. A simple accident, and the road is blocked for hours by agitated locals. They don’t bother about any inconvenience caused to the hundreds of other people travelling on that route. This phenomenon was routinely seen on highways, but on Sunday, a similar scenario was acted out here in the Ring Road and the road was blocked for six solid hours! Is this how the government is maintaining the law and order situation of the country? Please reply Mr. Home Minister.

Furthermore, it has been reported that it was RNA soldiers who blocked the road and even damaged vehicles on that fateful evening. It seems one of their friends was killed when a vehicles struck his motorcycle. When even government soldiers are that hard to control, Tattler is not surprised at the behaviour of simple but frustrated villagers who feel they have been sidelined by fate and development.

And what’s this dis-information in the government media all about? They are reporting that the present government has been hugely successful in negotiating with the Maoists and the insurgents in turn have not killed any NC men. But the Maoists are not only attacking in different areas with a vengeance, they have just recently killed two NC activists too. You can’t fool all the people all the time gents!

Tattler was amused to see a traffic cop being humiliated, when he unknowingly tried to send a vehicle driven by an SSP from a no parking zone. “What can I do when I didn’t know him,” said the sheepish looking cop, to by standers after smartly saluting his boss. Key garne?
