TITTLE TATTLE |
When the whole nation was shaking in fear on what
the Maoists may do on the eve of the fifth anniversary of their violent Peoples War,
our brave men in blue seemed to be busy in raiding the entertainment spots of
busy Kathmandu. Naturally, these fellas only found bombs of a different nature
in the cabin and dancing restaurants, while the actual insurgents were conducting
clandestine midnight activities elsewhere. Have we got our priorities mixed up here? *** Also, what do the people require now from the
police, lessons in morality or a sense of security? *** An editorial colleague complained of how another
friend described him as being almost like a computer. This remark apparently came when
they were framing some questions for an interview. Tattler quite satisfied with the
aggrieveds clarification saying I am more compassionate than a computer. *** PM Bhattarai gave an interview to AFP some days
back. But right the next day, his Chief Advisor clarified in front of reporters on the PM
being wrongly quoted. Didnt he see the copy of the interview before it was
published? Or is this simply double standards at its best? |
