Nepal’s reluctance (rightly so) to allow Indian personnel a role in ground security at Kathmandu’s TIA is the main stumbling block for IA’s flights resumption. Is it? Or the issue is also embroiled in plenty politics.

The latest book on the Ranas has left many of the Ranas roaring. Reason, incorrect (even twisted) facts. Some of them claim even mischievous play. Nevertheless, the first attempt to trace the complex Rana genealogy should be upheld.

Poor local participation in the on going 4th Nepal-German International Medical meet left the organizers bewildered. Hey listen, do not underestimate our learned Nepalese docs, perhaps they already know everything under the sun about developments in medicine!

The Nepali Congress oldies are once again at each others throats at the expanse of (the party and the nation), and many openly shun Koirala dynasty rule. Could Deuba be the compromise? Just wait and watch.

We Nepalis are a unique race. Eat sparsely when invited and you get remarks like, “Oh! You are so health conscious.” Or “Do you suffer from any disease?” On the other hand a couple of foreigners who enjoyed their meals heartily received this biting remark passed gleefully, “Kasto kocchi, kocchi khayeko. Hee, hee, hee.” (How they stuffed themselves!)
