After coolly pocketing underwriting agreements, Oriental Hotels Ltd. (Radisson) will soon push ahead for floating public shares. With such back up commitments and when the shares are for grabs Tattler will go for them. Will you?

The news of two girls marrying created a social uproar in native Nepal. Granted, women population here outnumber their men counterparts, still the news left a bitter taste in the mouth of many. Perhaps they do not understand the quirks of nature.

 Kathmanduites can now safely tuck away their wollies with mothballs. Weather is heating up alright, so are other things too! Agree?

What should have been nipped in the bud and finished off at the Civil Aviation Authorities level, the resumption of IA flights here is turning out to be an issue ever mired in pressure tactics, At least that’s what observers here feel. In this present game no one wins, but both sides stand to lose.

Sadly, the golden jubilee celebration of the state run Radio Nepal did not prove quite golden for its Executive Director who was shifted from the post the next day. His crime according to the grapevine was that he allowed a humourous- skit criticizing parliamentarians and the parliament. SO WHAT?, said one observer. Readers judge, please.

Talking about the weather, things sure heated up at certain quarters when a chair was whisked away from somebody up there just because he let a heavily satired drama go; totally disregarding the fact that the drama had somebody verry verry important in splits. Was the decision a case of  badly understood democracy or a bad sense of humour?

To see a disabled person is always a heart wrenching sight. But seeing an immensely popular singer who has entertained the nation for decades in such a situation, is even more touching. His Majesty’s gesture of walking to singer Tara Devi while awarding her at the same function was appreciated by all.
