Khum Bahadur Khadka, Home and Local Development Minister, for India, for medical treatment. A 49-member delegation of Buddhist representatives led by Upper House member and vice-president of Dharmodaya Sabha Laxmi Das Manandhar, for China, on a two-week visit. ARRIVED: A seven-member team led by Deputy Commander of Peoples Liberation Army of the Peoples Republic of China, on a six-day goodwill visit to Nepal. RE-STARTED: Regular flights to Bangalore from Kathmandu, by the Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation, from September 2, after a brief suspension. VANDALIZED: The office of Human Rights and Peace Society in Kalikasthan, by unidentified people, on August 28. FORMED: Nepal Independent Communication, a non-governmental media organization, under the chairmanship of Radheshyam Bista, former head of National News Agency. AWARDED: Nepal Federation for Business and Professional Women, with the first prize, for its program on women and children, in the Asia-Pacific Regional Conference held in Bangkok, Thailand recently, by the International Federation of Business and Professional Women. |
