ELECTED: Nepal, as vice chairman of the ongoing 56th general assembly of the United Nations. APPOINTED: Nirmal Gurung, from Kaski, and Ramesh Koirala, from Kathmandu, as members of the Overseas Employment Advisory Committee, by the Ministry of Labor and Transport Management. Dr. Dwarika Nath Dhungel, as the executive director of the Institute for Integrated Development Studies.
