APPOINTED: Jamir Akram, as
ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Nepal PASSED: Eastern
University's annual budget of Rs. 110.79 million for fiscal year 2002\2003. HONORED: Nepalese national
cricket team, which secured the second position in the fourth Asian Cricket Tournament, by
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. OBSERVED: Guru Purnima,
throughout the country, with expressions of devotion and respect to teachers. PRESENTED: Narayan Sumsher Thapa,
Royal Nepalese Ambassador, letters of credence to Bertel Haarder, acting President of the
European Community, at the Council of the European Union in Brussels. SUSPENDED: Kapil Shrestha,
member of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), from the commission for behavior
