Jhal Nath Khanal, after completing a week-long visit to India. DIED: Indu Prakash Singh,
71, Indian ambassador to Nepal, of tongue cancer, while undergoing treatment in
London. AWARDED: Nepal Professors
Association, with the Basudev Chandra Malla Award 2002, in honor of all
the professors, by Basudev Chandra Malla Memorial Foundation. HONORED: Balram Thapa, senior cartoonist, jointly by Society of Nepalese Artists and Cartoonists' Club of Nepal, for his contribution to society. |
