APPOINTED: Kedar Nath Upadhyaya as the chief justice by His Majesty the King, following the retirement of Keshav Prasad Upadhyaya. 

Shyam Bhakta Thapa as acting Inspector-General of Police as Pradeep Sumsher Rana leaves his post.

Ratnasansar Shrestha, Ambika Shrestha, Dr Manikratna Tuladhar and Arundhoj Adhikari as new members of the managing committee of Nepal Electricity Board. 

APPROVED: His Majesty he King, the resignation of Supreme Court Justice Krishna Jung Rayamajhi from his post. 

AWARDED: Backward Society Education, a non-government organization working for the Dalit and Kamaiya communities, with the Anti-Slavery Award in London last week. 

Professor Dr. Chudamani Bandhu by Bharati Kharel Memorial Award.

LEFT: The Nepalese team for United Arab Emirates to participate in the Asian Cricket Council under-15 cricket tournament. 

FORMED: Constitutional and Judicial Journalists' Forum (CJJF), a forum working in constitutional and judicial affairs, under the presidency of Ananta Raj Luitel.
