MOVED: Their Majesties King Gyanendra and Queen Komal, into the Narayanhity Royal Palace from July 3 on the completion of 13 months in throne. 

NOMINATED: Ashok Koirala, Prof. Dr. Ramman Shrestha, Yangkila Sherpa, from among the MPs, Toran Bahadur Karki, Vice Chancellor (VC) of Purbanchal University from among VCs and Dr. Mahendra Prasad, from among former TU VCs, as members of the Tribhuvan University Council, by His Majesty the King, in his capacity as the chancellor of the TU and in accordance with the TU Act 2049. 

PARDONED: 154 inmates, from various jails across the country, of their remaining jail terms and set free, on the occasion of 56th auspicious birthday of His Majesty the King. 

APPOINTED: Keith George Bloomfield, as the new British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Nepal. 

DECLARED: Public holidays on July 9 when His Majesty the King will leave for the state visit to the People's Republic of China and on July 18 when he will return. 

BANNED: All India Nepali Unity Society, by the Indian government under its Prevention of Terrorism Act.
