APPOINTED: Shobhakar Parajuli (Bara district) and Diwakar Gautam (Pyuthan district), as office secretaries of the Nepali Congress central party office, by the party. 

ELECTED: Kabindra Shekhar Rimal, as the president of Nepal Independent Journalists Union. 

AWARDED: Purna Baidya, poet of Newari language, with this year's "Aswikrit Bichar Puraskar". 

SET UP: An Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Alumni Ad Hoc Committee, by former students of the IIMC in Nepal.
