AWARDED: Nepal and Asian Research Center, Tribhuvan University, with the Rudra Raj Award for the year 2058 BS, by the Rudra Raj Sahitya Sewa Samiti, for its contributions to the study and research of history.

RETURNED: Ben Bradshaw, British Foreign Office Minister, after a short official visit to Nepal.

FIXED: The date for the election for the vacant seat of National Assembly, following the demise of its member Gajendra Narayan Singh, for March 11. 

LEFT: Rabi Bhakta Shrestha, president of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for The Hague, Netherlands, to participate in an international seminar on child labor.

NOMINATED: Fourteen former leaders of the Marxist-Leninist party, to the central committee of the Unified Marxist-Leninist party.

DE-LISTED: Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist-Leninist), from the list of nationally-recognized political parties, by the Election Commission, after it merged with CPN (UML).
