ELECTED: Pradeep Pokharel, as the president of national working committee of Amnesty International - Nepal (AIN), for two year period, by the general convention of the AIN.

RETURNED: Bhanu Prasad Acharya, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, who had led the Nepalese delegation to New Delhi for trade negotiations, after succeeding to renew the treaty.

HOSPITALIZED: Narayan Sharma Poudel, Minister of State for Water Resources, after coming down with continuous fever.

CONSTITUTED: A five-member task force for recommending constitutional amendment, under the convenorship of Mahantha Thakur, former law minister, by the ruling Nepali Congress party.

NOMINATED: Khagendra Regmi, of Syangja district, as the candidate for a vacant post of member at the National Assembly, by the ruling Nepali Congress party.

Ram Babu Khanal, as his private secretary, by Girija Prasad Koirala, former prime minister and president of Nepali Congress.
