EXPELLED: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, from the Nepali Congress party for three years, by the party's central disciplinary committee.  

RESIGNED: Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat, Minister for Finance, Amod Prasad Upadhyaya, Minister for Education and Sports and Rajendra Kharel, Minister of State for Women, Children and Social Welfare, from their respective posts.  

ARRIVED: Sir Michael Boyce, chief of the British Defense Staff, for a four-day official visit to Nepal, at the invitation of General Prajwalla SJB Rana, chief of Royal Nepalese Army. 

PROROGUED: The 22nd session of the National Assembly, without entertaining any regula business. 

RE-APPOINTED: Prakash Man Gubhaju, as the Registrar of the Pokhara University, by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, in his capacity as the Chancellor of the university. 

AWARDED: Yubaraj Nayaghare, a renowned youth essayist, with the Uttam-Shanti award for his contribution of Nepalese literature.
