Koili Devi Mathema, senior singer, by the New York Nepali Art Forum, for her contribution to enriching Nepali art and culture.

Dr. Rajendra Bimal, with the Mithila Bivuti by Bidhypati Service in Darvanga India. 

HOSPITALIZED: Rama Sharma, Secretary of Nepal Education Council and renowned litterateur, after suffering from stomach ailment. 

NOMINATED: Prem Chaulagain of Ilam, Rajendra Lignden of Jhapa, Bishnu Wagle of Chitwan, Bhim Narayan Thapa of Nawalparasi and Jagat Bhadur Roka of Gorkha, as presidents of respective District Development Committees, by the government.
