APPOINTED: Gyan Chandra Acharya,
permanent representative to Geneva-based UN organizations and other international
organizations, as Royal Nepalese Ambassador to Switzerland by the King. RETURNED: Chief of the
Army Staff of Royal Nepalese Army Pyar Jung Thapa, after an official
visit to the United Kingdom. LEFT: Assistant Minister
of Industry, Trade and Supply Jagat Bahadur Gurung to Copenhagen to take
part in a ministerial meeting. NOMINATED: Padma Sunder Lawati,
Kamal Thapa, Deepak Bohara and Roshan Karki as vice-president,
general secretary, treasurer and spokesman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party by its
president Pashupati Sumshere JB Rana. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, Khem Raj Pandit
and Renu Yadav have been named assistant general secretaries. CONSTITUTED: A committee
under the chairmanship of senior administrator and former secretary Gorachhya
Bahadur Nuhuchhe Pradhan to present a report on the facilities available to the
civil servants, by the government. Former secretary Mangal Krishna Shrestha and
former auditor comptroller Banshidhar Mishra are members of the
