RETURNED: Madan Prasad Aryal, Defense Secretary, after leading a Nepalese delegation that went to India at the invitation of Indian Defense Secretary Ajay Prasad.

COMPLETED: The medical check-ups of His Majesty King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev and Her Majesty Queen Komal Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah, at the Cromwell Hospital in London, the United Kingdom.

AWARDED: Nepal Education Council, with this year’s Biddhichiromani Hemraj Puraskar, for its contribution to enriching the Nepalese literature.

FORMED: Equity Mass Communication Network, by some professionals from Dalit Communities, with a view to helping to develop a society free of social discriminations.

APPOINTED: Shankar Raj Joshi, a joint secretary at the National Planning Commission, as the executive director of Poverty Alleviation Fund, by the government.
