PROMOTED: Ambar Nemwang, as the Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Police Force, by the government.

SET UP: A four-member committee headed by Sarbendra Nath Shukla, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and including members Madhav Prasad Ghimire, national poet, Dr. Gobinda Sharma, vice chancellor of Tribhuwan University, Bachhu Kailash Basnet, senior singer and Manuj Babu Mishra, senior artist, to recommend the name for the position of vice chancellor of the Royal Nepal Academy.
