RE-IMPOSED: “Terrorism and Destruction (Control and Punishment) Ordinance” by King, as per the consent of the council of ministers and in accordance with the Constitution of the Kingdom of Nepal 1990.  

FELICITATED: National Poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire by Om Gyan Mandir, Bhaktapur. 

APPOINTED: Kedar Bhakta Shrestha, as the Royal Nepalese Ambassador to the United States of America, and Dr. Madan Kumar Bhattarai, as the Royal Nepalese Ambassador to Germany, by the government. 

RESIGNED: Sarbendra Nath Shukla, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Forest and Soil Conservation, and Land Reforms and Management, from his position. 

RELEASED : 37 security personnel including Chief District Offcer Sagrmani Parajuli nad deputy superintendent of police Rana Bahadur Gautam, by the Maoists, unconditionally. They had been abducted by the Maoists from Beni, Myadgi three weeks ago. 

TRANSFORMED :  Nepal Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) into Nepal Telecom a company, by the government.
