DIED: Basu Risal, senior leader of Nepali congress and former minister, at the age of 77.

VISITED: Gareth Thomas, Minister of the British Department for International Development (DFID) looking after the Asian affairs, Nepal.

ARRIVED: Queen Komal and Princess Prerana, after completing a week-long visit to Thailand.

A four member delegation team of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) including Executive Director Jusuf Anwar, Stephen Sedwich and Chaiyuth Suthi Nakakam, for a four day visit to observe the projects launched under its assistance.

AWARDED: Kedar Bhakta Mathema, former vice-chancellor of the Tribhuwan University and former Royal Nepalese Ambassador to Japan, with 'Hem Bahadur Malla Honorary Award' for this year, by Nepal Public Administration Organization.

FORMED: A seven member task force under the convenership of Dr. Gaurishankar Lal Das, a member of the National Human Rights Commission, to conduct the nationwide immunization drive against measles.
