ELECTED:  Binod K. Chaudhary, as the President; Narendra Kumar Basnyat, Pawan Kumar Golyan and Rajendra Kumar Khetan as the Vice Presidents; and Min Bahadur Karki, as the Director General, of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), by its Second Annual General Meeting.

DIED: Dhan Kumari Gurung, a renowned folk singer, at the age of 75. 

HONORED: Bhakta Raj Acharya, popular singer, by New York Kala Manch, an organization of Nepali artistes residing in the US.
