FORMED: A three member probe committee, led by Supreme Court judge Min Bahadur Rayamajhi and comprising judges Khil Raj Regmi and Anup Raj Sharma, to probe the controversial court decision on the acquittal of an alleged drug trafficker, by the Judicial Commission.  

DIED: Balaram Upadhyaya, central advisor of the Unified Marxist Leninist (UML), at the age of 71.

SUBMITTED: Annual report of the Office of the Attorney General (AG), for fiscal year 2003/2004, by AG Shushil Kumar Pant, to the prime minister. 

APPOINTED: Bimalendra Nidhi and Prakash Man Singh, as Ministers for Education and Sports and Industry, Commerce and Supplies; and Work and Physical Planning, respectively, by the King as per the recommendation from the prime minister.  

LEFT: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) General Pyara Jung Thapa, for Beijing, China, at the invitation of the People’s Liberation Army. 

FORMED: A task force by the civil society, to hold dialogue with the Maoists’ student wing.
