DECEASED: Jagannath Acharya, former minister and leader of Nepali Congress (NC), at the age of 80.

Padma Shankar Adhikari, former member of parliament and a member of central advising council of Nepali Congress (Democratic).

AWARDED: Journalist Nirmala Sharma, with “Sirjanshil Patrakarita Award-2060” by the Federation of Nepalese Journalist, Kaski Branch.

Sangina Vaidhya, with the best youth award for this year, by the National Democratic Youth Organization.

ELECTED: Rajaram Shrestha, deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, to the executive bureau of the global conference of local governments.

RESIGNED: Mayors of Lalitpur sub metropolitan and Kirtipur municipality, together with ward chairmen, from their posts.

FELICITATED: Dhunswa Sayami, senior litterateur, by a group litterateurs on the occasion of 75th birthday.
