Editor's Note

We are back with our regular feature. We are really grateful to our thousands of readers for their concerns shown to us through various calls they made to us for the speedy resumption of our regular notes. But I can only accept this as a reward when my readers will unite to fight all the evil forces that are hell bent on destroying our dear motherland. This needs cleansing of our country of all those political leaders who have irrefutably established themselves as foreign agents. As long even one of such politicians survives the country cannot be completely plague-free. So, the prime necessity facing all patriotic Nepalis is to exterminate these vermins and termites that are gradually eating up our strong and solid national foundations. It is, indeed, a great pity that a small number of our intelligentsia follow these leaders in the expectation of some kind of favor whenever they come to power. Why cannot they understand that those leaders who look up to their alien masters, seek their help to attain power in our country and are always ready to lick their boots, will ever do good to our dear motherland? These Lendup Dorjis will not bat their eyelids to mortgage even our sovereignty for the fulfillment of their vile self-interests. Having taken the country towards the precipice of total disaster during their party’s rule in the fourteen years, they are now agitating against King Gyanendra’s government to regain power. And it is only an open secret, which power is really backing them. King Gyanendra should not give in to their pressure. Because, if they again come to power, it won’t be they who will be ruling the country. Some invisible hand with a remote control will be playing with our destiny. If even after becoming fully acquainted with the evil motives of the “grand Design”, we fail to defend our people and our country, our posterity will never forgive us. It will be nothing less than a total betrayal. And King Gyanendra must never let this happen. As such, he must have no truck, whatsoever, with these quislings who are masquerading as national leaders. It was, indeed, very gratifying to find at least an ex-army chief Satchit Rana who had the guts to ask publicly that the parties headed by such quislings be declared anti-national. Although we do appreciate his intentions, we think, the general has still fallen much short of the demand he should have made. These parties must be totally banned from practicing politics and all the leaders declared traitors and punished according to law. We trust King Gyanendra will not fail to take note of our humble suggestion and act accordingly. Since, it is his and only his responsibility to safeguard the independence and sovereignty of the nation, he must not hesitate to take howsoever harsh measures are needed. Only then will he be able to take the country to real constitutional monarchy and multiparty democracy.
